This hotel was established in July, 2008 and offers 43 well-appointed and comfortable air conditioned rooms and suites and 5 rooms without air conditioning at very reasonable prices in the center of Dire Dawa. All the rooms have en-suite bathroom with bathtub shower. In addition the institution offers cuisine from around the world, tailored to appeal to the local, as well as the international clientele. With her courtyard restaurant, bar services and relaxing swimming pool, Samarat provides quality hospitality service to the national and international visitors. Samarat Hotel adds value to the community by providing jobs in the hotel.

 

The Hotel manager is looking for an expert to support him by identifying the functionality of different parts of the organization in order to improve the existing organizational model or maybe a reorganization of the structure.

Period:  2 -3 weeks


Underlying questions are :

 

Case 1. Organizational improvement plan

Dutch expert works closely with hotel manager to work out the following:

How to have an organizational model in place that is more easily facilitating overseeing the functionality of different departments within the organization (How to track down and reduce expenses, how to standardize policies and working procedures on this topic)

 

Case 2. & improvement of customer service skills

Train the trainer concept. Dutch expert will work with 3 -5 professionals to work out the following:

How to ensure quality service is provided to each and every customer visiting the hotel in a uniform manner (How to train my staff in awareness of different type of customers, their cultural backgrounds, how to manage staff on appropriate client communication and approaching).
